OTIS - KG4BSK SK.- A MAN AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART. WE WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH AS HE ALWAYS SERVED HIS LORD. ............. OTIS Served The
Ambassadors for Christ as Net Controller on Wednesdays.
FROM KJ4TN- MATHEW.
When I think of Bro Otis KG4BSK, the first thing that comes to my mind concerning Otis, was that he was one of the few Christian men that I knew that I could honestly say that he was a man after God's own heart.
He was faithful to the AFC net on Mondays for many years and had a genuine interest in everyone that checked into the net. He would always make every check in feel welcome. I was very fortunate to have had lunch with him at a local cafe in the area some years ago.
Afterwards he took me to his house and gave me a tour of his ham shack. We will all miss him in the hobby. God speed to him................

Around 2012-2013 I was tunning around on the 40 meter band when I heard a friendly voice net controlling a Christen net from Central SC, kg4bsk. So that was my first check in on the net and I was giving such a welcome that I became a daily check in. A very fond memory of Otis is that he shared many times his testimony of being saved at the age of 6 while in his bed. Not only the years of speaking with him on the radio, but we also have spoken on the phone. So Bro Otis was a dear friend not only to me but many others . The number one verse that I think of for friendship is prov 27:17. I know that Bro Otis had to deal with a lot of back pain, and his pain in his legs kept him from sleeping at night. One more verse comes to mind Rev 21:4 . Bro Otis will be missed. We will keep Ms. Joann in our prayers.

Psalms 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Otis, KG4BSK, is precious to the Lord and was precious to many on the Ambassadors for Christ and 7240 Club. It's hard to make 'silent key' fit him; his good deeds and testimony will live on for years to come.
For example, after suffering a severe fall, Otis and Joann showed up with enough food for three days. Similar examples of his care, love and concern for others will speak for him in our memories for a long time to come...he is not silent. Otis certainly lived up to Psalms 107:2 "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so"

Otis was a genuine friend to all who crossed his path; he had a special talent of touching my heart with his gentle Christian compassion. I met Otis years ago on the AFC Radio Net, and it became easy to be attracted to Otis's gentile demeanor.
One observation that was obvious to all was Otis's talent to share Christ openly - and, always without reservation. His Christian witness was paramount in his daily walk, for he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Otis will be missed by all; and, we will fervently be praying for Joann and the family. Proverbs 3 : 5-6.

Brother Otis was a blessed one who loved the Lord. He is walking the streets of gold; he loved people and he shared his testimony with people, He was a inspiration and mentor to me. I met him in 2007 and but never got to see him; but he was a blessing. One of his key scriptures: Colossian 1:14,15,16,17. I will never forget him. I love this brother and he will be missed. He was faithful to net.

I have known Otis for several years and will miss his voice on the airwaves.
A few years back, Jerry,K1HV and myself drove down for a visit with Otis.
We had lunch at a local restaurant and had good fellowship. The photo that you see on the website was taken at that visit. We shall miss his presence here, but we know that he is with our Lord. What better joy is that?
